  1. mix the cornflour and water together in a small bowl to make a paste, then mix in the soy sauce and mirin to make the sauce
  2. heat your wok over a high heat and add 1 tbsp of the groundnut oil. Stir fry the green beans and mange tout for around 2 minutes, then set aside.
  3. season the beef strips with black pepper and brown the meat off in batches. Set the meat aside and cover it to keep it warm
  4. return the wok to a high heat and add the rest of the groundnut oil
  5. add the garlic and chilli and stir fry for around 10 seconds
  6. add the spring onion and stir fry for about 2 minutes
  7. add the cavolo nero, the sauce, beef, green beans and mange tout and stir fry for a further 2 – 3 minutes, until the cavalo nero is wilted and tender
  8. sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds in and then serve with plain boiled rice
